Nick RobinsonInvestment Manager
Aberdeen
Nick Robinson is an investment manager on the global emerging markets equity team. Nick joined Aberdeen in 2000 and spent eight years on the North American Equities desk, including three years based in Aberdeen's US offices. In 2008 he returned to London to join the global emerging markets equities team. Nick graduated with a MA in Chemistry from Lincoln College, Oxford and is a CFA Charterholder.
Liesbeth RubinsteinFund Manager, Global Emerging Markets

Liesbeth joined the company in 2007 as a fund manager in the Global Emerging Markets team, responsible for our eastern European equity portfolios. She began her investment career at Fidelity Investments in 1993 within their UK institutional funds team, but in 1995 joined Fleming Asset Management (which then became JPM Asset Management) as an equity analyst to specialise in the emerging markets of Latin America, Israel and sub-Saharan Africa. Progressing within JPM Asset Management, Liesbeth successfully transferred into fund management in 2000 as well as becoming a country specialist on Israel and central eastern Europe. This provided the springboard for her to join Schroder Investment Management in 2005, as Head of their EMEA Equities and fund manager of their Emerging European funds. Liesbeth graduated from the London School of Economics & Political Science with an Msc (Econs), Industrial Relations/Labour Market Economics.
Wilfred SitRegional Chief Investment Officer, Asia Pacific
Mirae Asset Global Investments
Wilfred Sit is responsible for managing the Asia Pacific ex-Japan team of
portfolio managers and analysts based in Hong Kong and Singapore. He manages the
Mirae Asset Asia Pacific Sector Leader Fund and Mirae Asset Asia Sector Leader
Fund, as well as various China mandates. He is also responsible for overseeing
the sector funds run by the regional sector analysts, and is a core member of
the regional strategy and asset allocation team.
Before joining Mirae Asset, Wilfred worked at Baring Asset Management Asia for
three years. As Head of Asian Equities, he was responsible for regional
investment research and strategy. He managed Baring Asia High Alpha Funds,
including Baring Eastern Trust and Baring Asia Growth Fund. The former was
awarded Best Eastern Trust in 2006 by Money Observer magazine of the UK. Wilfred
was also co-head of the China team and managed the Greater China Fund which is a
prominent closed-end China fund in the US. He also co-managed the Baring China
Absolute Return Fund, a long-short fund focusing on Greater China equities.
Prior to Barings, Wilfred worked at INVESCO Asia for 10 years where he managed
INVESCO Greater China Opportunities Fund and the INVESCO Perpetual HK China
Fund.
Wilfred has a BBA in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). He is also a CFA and a CPA charterholder.
Guido StielPortfolio Manager

Guido joined the group as a Portfolio Manager in April 2008. Guido joins from Deka Investment Gmbh where he was portfolio manager of DekaLux-pacific fund and behavioural financial analyst for the last eleven years. Before joining Deka Investment, Guido spent three years at ADIG investment as portfolio manager and quantitative analyst. Based in Frankfurt, he provides specialist expertise and knowledge on Asian equities, and supports fund manager Michael Konstantinov running the highly successful Allianz RCM BRIC Stars Fund.
François ThéretEmerging Europe Equity Portfolio Manager & Analyst

François Théret started his career in 1997 as a junior sell-side Analyst at
Crédit Lyonnais in New York. A year later, he moved to Crédit Lyonnais Asset
Management and started his specialization in the European Bank and Insurance
sector. In 2001, he joined TAL, a subsidiary of Canadian Imperial Bank in
Switzerland and then moved to Axa Investment Managers in 2003 still as research
analyst specialized in Bank and Insurance. In March 2005, François joined Ixis
AM as a senior Bank & Insurance analyst and was actively involved in
building the Research Department and developing the research methodology for
European stocks. He currently works as an emerging Europe portfolio manager and
analyst with Natixis Asset Management.
François is a graduate of the French business school Ecole Supérieure de
Commerce de Paris.
